| In February 2004 , three months after the launch of the UK studios, and with the fledging business gathering momentum, Joe, together with his close personal friend Jassi Premi along with Premi Johal embarked on a journey to India to put together a few compositions for the release of Premi’s new album. To help with their project they enlisted the help of one of Punjabi music’s most famous producers Tejwant Kittu. Nevertheless, the music soon gave way to a greater conception. In less than a week, a deal had been struck that would lead to the eventual opening of Pa Pa Joe’s first overseas production studios in the heart of the Punjabi community in Ludhiana. This major coup put Tejwant Kittu in charge of Pa Pa Joe operations in India. The British-based artists, under the experienced guidance of the staff at Pa Pa Joe’s now have the opportunity to benefit greatly from the crossover in UK Asian talent and India-based artists. The months that came after culminated in greater creativity and a more diverse plethora of talent to emerge from both the UK and India. With international credentials, Pa Pa Joe’s now finds itself at the very front in providing artists with access to a truly global audience. The Pa Pa Joe Studios in India were opened ceremoniously on 26th April 2004. With attendees including Gurdas Maan, Harbinder Maan, Hans Raj Hans, as well as Government Ministers and many others from the Indian music industry. |
